The name of the play was

And, I laughed from the moment we got there till the curtain call.

Oh, it was a fun one.

And, I am grateful.

Janessa Passed Her Exam

It's a big deal.

And, it's also expensive.

The test is long, grueling, and covers lots of coursework over several years.

She studied hard, worked hard, studied some more.

When she came home, she felt deflated, devastated, demoralized, dejected.

So, when her results came in and she had PASSED....

She was over-the-top excited.

So were we.

And, I am grateful.

Thank you, Heavenly Father!

Friends

It's so fun to make a call and set up an appointment for lunch.

I'm so grateful for friends.

TIME!

I get up in the mornings to go exercise.

I can be flexible in when I go.

Sometimes I leave very early in the a.m.

Yesterday, I didn't go until later in the morning.

On Saturday, I went in the late afternoon.

Many people don't have that flexibility.

But, I do; and I am grateful.

It's Monday, Glorious Monday!

Many people dread Mondays.

I like them.

A fresh start....a new beginning.

Oh, yes, I like Mondays.

And, I am grateful.

My Children's Primary Teachers Over the Years

Sometimes I would express my gratitude.

But, more often than not, I probably didn't say anything to them.

And, now, as a Primary teacher, I recognize what an incredibly challenging job it is.

It's

HARD, BORING, FRUSTRATING, ANNOYING, CHALLENGING, HARD.

I love the kids, but truthfully, taken together - they are such a difficult thing sometimes.

Today, I was thinking about leaving the church.

Now, that is not a good thing.

I remembered all the years my own kids were in Primary.

Our boys are smart alecs - for sure.

And probably the girls too.

They were never the sweet little dears that some girls are.

I'm sorry about that.

But, today, I just want God to know that I am grateful for Primary teachers over the years who taught my children.

There is a spot in heaven for them, of that I am sure.

Internet

Okay, okay, okay.

It's been down for a lot lately.

Totally annoying, frustrating, and rude.

But, the thing is.

When it works, it's like a miracle.

And, I am grateful.

Extended Family

They come to spend a few weeks each winter.

We don't see them a lot, but it is fun when they are in town.

And, I'm grateful.

My Mind

I play a game called Trivia Crack.

I am HORRIBLE at it.

Occasionally, however, I get a few answers correct.

I feel glad my memory kicks in once in awhile.

And, I'm grateful for that....

Eyesight

A friend is having

EYE issues.

Made me so grateful for my eyesight.

Today, I saw the dark morning sky; then it emerged into light.

I see a tiny pink flower budding outside my window.

I watched the news.

I just saw my granddaughter say good morning.

And, I am grateful.

Mornings

I love mornings....

I generally feel good.

It's a great time to go to the temple or exercise.

Or get some office work done.

The promise of a new day with things to do, people to greet, places to be.

Oh yes, I am grateful for mornings.

Primary Class

What a difference a few years make...

7 year olds are so much more manageable than 3 year olds.

This year's class is delightful and I love teaching with Sister Livick.  She's so sweet.

Love it.

And, I'm grateful.

Family

I love my family and Allen's family.

I feel blessed to have grown up in such a great family.

I am also blessed because Allen has a great family.

Okay, that's a double whammy blessing and and I grateful.

Lengthening of Days

I love LIGHT.

Winter is hard because there are so many hours of darkness.

So, the days are getting a little longer by just minutes at each end; morning and evening.

AND, I am grateful.

Food, Glorious Food!

One son tells me about a book in which we are told to not eat carbs and focus on meat.

Another son's book of choice says no meat and dairy.

Conflicting ideas for sure.

In fact, totally opposite philosophies.

But, here's the thing;

we have CHOICES.

And, I am grateful.

Heated Seats

Okay,

it's a recurring theme of mine...

along with health, home, Allen, family, income.

So, I leave the house early on many many mornings.

It's chilly out.

But, I have heated seats.....oh my....

Yes, I'm very grateful.

Thankful People

It was a small thing....

Really,

But, here came a

ThANk YoU card.

Not necessary at all,

But, it reminded me of the importance of gratitude.

And, how I'm grateful for the people who are that way.

Most mornings I get up and feel pretty good.

Headache this morning, but in general,

I don't have a lot of aches, pains, health issues.

They all have jobs and they are not leeches in society.

I'm very grateful for that.

I am So VERY grateful to live in SG, Utah!

Eyesight

Sometimes I can't see so well...

especially early in the mornings,

But I am grateful that I can see at all.

New Primary Class

I start with high hopes.

Each child is so precious.

However, together they are a handful.

It will be a challenge.

We'll see how it goes.

But, I'm grateful for this challenge.

gave us the most thoughtful Christmas gift.

It makes me smile to think of it.

And, I'm so grateful for those very thoughtful children.

Moisture in the Desert

I LOATHE snow.

But, it snowed here in Dixie.

And, it's very cold.

But, we need the moisture.
