the Granddaughter

She lived with us for four months; it was easy, pleasant, and a blessing.  She just moved out.

I'm grateful for that opportunity.

And, I see pictures nearly every day.

We communicate almost every day.

I love modern technology and am grateful for it.

I take my ITouch to exercise and am reading
JESUS THE CHRIST while walking the treadmill.

The book is big, the ITouch is tiny...it's so convenient.

I love technology.

I'm very grateful.

Hearing

Music is such a great thing...

What if I couldn't hear the music?

I'm so grateful for the ability to hear!

Sundays

It's a break; no shopping, no running around, no errands (except maybe church-related), no business...just being with family and good friends.

I'm thankful for that.

JOBS!

It was such great news...

BF finally got a job after 7 months of unemployment...Thank you, Heavenly Father.

AND, his twin sons also got jobs at the local movie theater.  Thank you again, Heavenly Father.

I'm grateful for Allen's job all those years which now provides us with a modest income each month....enough to live quite comfortable.  I am overwhelmed with gratitude.

I'm very thankful.  And, in spite of some other discouraging news, this was a very bright spot indeed.

the Book of Mormon

As a Relief Society, we were challenged to read the Book of Mormon.

I finished it yesterday morning. And, once again, I was convinced of its truthfulness. How could anyone not believe it, or see the wisdom in its pages?

I recently watched a movie about early England and the in-fighting with families; the murders, the secrets behind closed doors. I thought, I wonder if it was really like this; it's all so terrible, and then I thought of the book of Ether, and realized that yes, that is Satan's way.

So, I am grateful for the challenge, and the Book of Mormon.

Thank you, Heavenly Father; and mom and dad for your firm testimonies.

Family and Friends

They have been supportive and kind. The Cottles, Mark and Michelle, came over last night to visit. They are so busy with church, school, family, yet they took the time to come see us. People are just good. Barbara sent another of her notes, in this one, she wished us well on our adventure. We went to dinner with Garn and Dorothy, the Asays will drive us to the shuttle tomorrow.

My heart is filled with gratitude.
