A Good Husband

I'm so grateful we are on the same page in terms of the Gospel...

We might not be on the same page in terms of living in Manila, but

in many respects we are on the same page.

And, I am grateful.....

A Second Chance

I was not a good mother.

I didn't give advice to my children.

But, boy, I sure do that with my grandchildren.

And, I'm grateful for this 2nd chance!

Safe Travels

I just returned from Manila, Utah.

It's a long drive.

I'm glad I made it safely and

I'm grateful.

Cellphones

Honestly, I can't imagine how we survived with cell phones.

There are so many practical uses for them.....

And, I am grateful.

Being Married

It's lonely when one is alone.

And, I'm grateful to be married.

Good Books

I love to read

And to learn.

This is a true story of women in Afghanistan at the time the Taliban came in and put so many restrictions on women.
The tragedy is that things are probably much worse now than at the time this story takes place.  But his book demonstrates the resiliency of women in trying circumstance.

And, I'm grateful to have access to so many good books.

Chocolate!

I'm in LOVE.

With chocolate.

I have some almost every day.

I'm trying to not buy chips any more.  I've given up soda.

But, there's still chocolate.

And, I am grateful.

Being Born in America

Man, the world is in a terrible mess....

So is America, actually.

BUT, we still have food, electricity, water, the ability to move around, and so much more.

And, I could not be more grateful.

Cozy Little Camper in Manila

It's small,

but it's just right for the two of us.

And, it makes Allen happy, which makes me happy.

And, I am grateful.

Money

I've said it before, will say it over and over.

I'm so very grateful for an income.

A Moment of Peace and Quiet

It's so fun to have family around.

Nothing like it.

But, then, when everyone is gone.

I'm thankful for a little down time.

And quiet time.

It's all good.

Missions for Young Men

Man, they are something else -

those two returned missionaries....

Early to bed, early to rise; studying the gospel.

What a difference a mission makes to an obedient servant.

And, I am grateful.

Stockton and Landon

Such truly FINE young men.

They went to bed last night studying their scriptures.

This morning, Stockton was reading his scriptures.

Oh, they are good, fun, thoughtful.

And, I am grateful.

MISSIONARIES - COMING HOME TONITE!

And, I am grateful!

Days When I Get a Lot Done

Man, I worked hard today.

Cooking, cleaning, shopping, laundry.

Getting ready for the BIG DAY tomorrow!

And, I feel grateful for the ability to do so.

Our Grandsons' Missions

Stockton and Landon will be back in the US in two days.

It will be great to see them.

I'm thankful they worked hard to finish their missions and that they are returning with honor.

They are good young men.

And, I am grateful.

Eysight

I now have floaters in both my right and left eye.

They are definitely annoying and bothersome.

But, at least I can still SEE....

And, of that, I am grateful.

The Temple Being So Close

It's great to be able to drive to the temple in about 12 minutes...

It means I can go early in the morning and get out fairly early.

I can do initiatory, sealing or a session and it's not an all-day event.

Of that, I am grateful.

A Washing Machine in my Home

That may sound a little ridiculous.

But, we have been living out of a camper/trailer for a month.

So, we take the laundry down the little hill to the office.

It's not hard, but it's inconvenient and it gets pretty expensive.

Thus making me grateful I have those appliances right in my own home!

The SUnshine

It's rained quite a bit here in Manila.

We are leaving today to head to St George for two weeks,

But, we'll be back...

In the meantime, I'm grateful for the sunshine!

Yesterday, we took a long ride on the Green River through the steep canyon walls of Flaming Gorge.

It was beautiful, peaceful, serene, and just a beautiful way to spend an afternoon/morning.
