Sundays When I DON'T Teach Primary

That doesn't sound very good, I know,

but it's true.

I like to just go and relax and just go to the meetings.

And, I'm grateful I can do that today.

A Beautiful Saturday

Lots to do...

And,

I'm very grateful on this gorgeous Saturday morning.

Good Neighbors

Bill and Barbara and Kathy had us over for Thanksgiving Dinner;

That was so sweet of them

The food was delicious.

And, I'm grateful for good neighbros.

Our Grandchildren Arriving Safely...

in New Mexico;

it will be a quick trip.

But, they wanted to surprise Brent and Jenni.

So, they drove all day on Wednesday

And, arrived safely last night.

I am grateful.

Eyesight

I am so glad that I can see.

What a great blessing.

And, I am grateful.

Legs That Work

Yesterday in a store, the clerk had a hard time getting up from showing us something on a bottom shelf;

 "My knee," he said.  "I just had knee surgery.  It's the 4th one."

I just can't imagine having to have surgery 4 times on the same knee.

Man, I am so thankful that I have the sue of my legs so far.

Oh, I am grateful.

Repentance

Over the years, I have needed this so much.

I'm 70 now, and still need it.

So, of course, I'm grateful.

Having Janessa live with us

It's a great blessing to have her around.

I'm sure it's very hard for her...

But, it's fun for us.

And, I'm grateful.

Heat and Warmth

I'm so grateful for a heater.

I do not like being cold.

So, when it is warm, I like that.

And, I'm always grateful to have a heater in the car and our home.

Sunny Days

I just LOVE

the SUNSHINE.

And, here in SG, we get it a lot.

Right now, it's cold, crisp, but so sunny and.....

Oh, yes, I am grateful!

Aspirin/Mild Painkillers

I get headaches sometimes.

And when I do, I often just take an aspirin.

It makes me wonder about the pioneers as they struggled across the plains....

What did they do for a toothache, stomach, heartache?

Well, okay pain killers don't do much for heartaches,

BUT,

when I need one, I'm very grateful!

Living in SG

I

DO NOT LIKE SNOW!

ICE,

COLD.

Living in SG, I only have to contend with one of those, and even that is not as bad as in other areas of this great frozen country.

I am so grateful we moved here.

Oh, yes, I am grateful!

A Day With NO Obligations, No Plans

It rarely happens, but when it does...

like today.

I am beyond grateful.

Health

Recurring theme.

And, I am definitely grateful.

America

I can't say this often enough, but I am beyond grateful to live in this great country.

Reading about other times and places always reminds me of the great blessing I have to be born in this free country.

And, I am grateful.

This is a little surprising for Miles to say, NUTS...

He's all about CANDY and SWEETS and COOKIES and SODA.

But, he's right about one thing.

Nuts are a good thing to be grateful for;

And, I am.

Pistachios,

Pecans,

Almonds,

Cashews.

So, yes, I am thankful for nuts!

I love our home.

My brothers recently visited; they each said how lovely our home is.  I'm always happy here.

I have an awesome computer; it was my Christmas present a year ago, so I've had it for nearly a year.

The screen is big.

I like that.

I was thinking of their beauty value.

Miles reminded me of their value to our health; without plants we would have no oxygen and would die.

So, oh yes, I am thankful.

I don't know how I got so lucky, blessed, fortunate, whatever.

But, I am so grateful for my three brothers:

They are outstanding role models in every way, and I am beyond grateful.

Eyesight

What a great blessing to be able to see.

Heated Seats

I first heard about a car having heated seats when I was just out of high school.

It seemed like an impossible luxury to me.

My parents never had heated seats.

I wish they had been able to have them.

Heated seats are the BEST in cold weather.

And, I am grateful.

Clean Windows

Oh, yes, they get dirty so fast...

But, when they are clean,

I love them.

And, I'm grateful.

RAIN!

It doesn't happen a lot in this little corner of the world;

but when it does, I'm glad.

The desert always needs moisture.

SO, I am grateful.

Having Janessa Live With Us...

It's a great blessing for us to have her here...

She scared some little kids last night; one little kid turned and ran away when she answered the door. It was fun!  Hey, even like this, she looks beautiful!

Okay, I said, help me organize the silverware drawer....boy, did she ever whip that into shape!

Allen HATES getting hair cuts (time and money).  I HATE giving him haircuts (I'm bad at it.)
So, here's Janessa on a Saturday morning...oh, yeah, she did it right!
