Plus, it was hot....
They didn't have a lot of water.
No other people were anywhere near.
And, it was at a very high altitude when it all happened, although they were on their way down after successfully achieving the summit.
Brent was standing next to a large tree - with knees locked - when he felt faint, and he tumbled right over headlong into the dirt on a steep hill.
Jenni watched in horror from a few feet away, as he started to slide downhill before a bramble stopped his rolling further.
Such a frightening moment for both of them, although Brent was unconscious at the moment.
I'm so grateful that nothing worse happened and they are home SAFE.
This picture was taken just a few hours before Brent's fall and unconsciousness. The peak is in Death Valley and is a 7 mile hike to the top. Very inspiring, for sure. |
